This cask bottling, distilled in December 1998, spent 20 years maturing in a 2nd fill Bourbon Hogshead. It was bottled at cask strength in March 2019 at 58.9% ABV. Cask #751405 yielded 235 bottles. Warm and malty nose with aromas of cardamon and crème brillee, caramel and cigar wrappers, lemon pinwheels, tinned pears, and spiced vanilla, then hints of fruit cake and toasted hazelnuts. Wonderfully viscous palate with pronounced malt, spun sugar, cinnamon buns, graham crackers, then hints of browning pineapple and apple butter. Moderate to long finish with continuing malt presence, powdered ginger, a hint of cinnamon and grilled pineapple towards the end.
